27 eh?

I like that idea! Of course it would explain why I don't feel like an adult! Try it, see how old you act!
Cheers, Denise

You Are 27 Years Old

Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

Rambling on What's on my Plate

Good Afternoon!

I'm on a learning curve here. I've managed to upload a picture of a doll that I made for a friend. It was a great challenge - the doll yes but also the uploading. It seems we have pictures all over our computer system and many of them aren't that great! And of course, they aren't well labeled. I found this picture and thought I would try it out, actually see if I could upload it! Voila!

I've been busy finishing up the aubergine pages for a chubbybook that I'm participating in. Remind me someone never to do a book that has 50 pages in!! Man, I'm so glued out! But the book will be awesome when it's finished.

Another thing I need to do is post links to my site. I've got some great internet friends with blogs that I want to share, and one of them is helping learn how to do that. She recommended that I change my template choice so I'm going to play around with that.

I am a university student part-time and I'm currently in psychology and Canadian studies. I've got a paper do in a week for Canadian studies on the topic of child care policy in Canada. It has been a fascinating topic to research and I'm looking forward to working on the paper because the subject is pertinent to the politics of the day. Each of the political parties from our election campaigned in part on a viable childcare policy and I look forward to critiquing them in light of what the most current research suggests that we need.

And I managed to mail out a large atc swap to a group of women in Germany, New Zealand, the States, and Canada. The atc's are slowing trickling in from this group and they are wonderful. I had thought I had made an extra one for myself but unfortunately I counted wrong and had to mail mine off. I was playing with cotton, wax, Angelina fibers, twinkling H2O's and it was kind of neat. I can't wait to play some more with those fibers. I only have yellow right now but I'm looking forward to getting more some day. I do want to make some wings with the yellow and I'm thinking of putting that on a piece of beaded artwork that I'm creating.

I am creating this beaded picture as a sample for Micheals. I'm going to start teaching there in Feb. and I wanted to make a picture as a sample with the beads that they have available. I was thinking that the fibers would make a nice pair of wings for a dragon fly. I'll post a picture when it's done.

Cheers, Denise

Premier Post!

Hello All!

welcome to the premier of my blog! How many ways can people say that? "Welcome to my blog", "celebrate the inaguration of my blog." "Guess what I started a blog! " I guess if you are reading this, you already know that this is the first one! I"m going to use this blog to let people know more about my art work, my bead classes and my life in general. I've been very active in the creative process and am thoroughly enjoying it! As a matter of fact, I'd rather being doing art, reading about it, gazing at other art blogs or just daydreaming about it, then doing just about anything! I guess my muse is in full gear!
So stay tuned for a posting of where and when I'll be teaching bead art and look for pictures of some of my art!
Cheers, D
